GILES ROTHWELL, PRESIDENT

Giles is the President and founder of 1OAK. Previously Giles was Global Head of Sales for structured products to retail and private banking at JP Morgan London and Global Head of Investor Solutions at Barclays Capital London. Prior to this he ran Equity Index and Exotic trading at BZW and co-founded the Specialised Derivatives Group at HSBC London.

GIOVANNI BONACCORSO, CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER

Giovanni is the CEO and founder of 1OAK. Previously Giovanni was Head of European distribution, origination, and innovation of alternative products for the PIPG team at Goldman Sachs in London. Prior to GS he held the same position at Barclays Capital in London under the supervision of Giles. Prior to Barclays, he had a similar role at CSFB and BoNY-Susquehanna for the Southern European derivatives team.

THIERRY RALET, HEAD OF ALTERNATIVE INVESTMENTS

Thierry is responsible for alternative investments for the 1OAK group.  He has a vast experience in capital markets and alternatives as a portfolio manager, allocator, and treasurer. Prior to 1OAK Thierry was Nestlé Capital Advisors & Nestlé Capital Management CFO from their launch in 2007 as well as Head of Alternative Investments in charge of implementing the USD 3.3 billion Hedge Fund internalization project and managing the in-house hedge fund portfolios. Thierry joined Nestlé in 2000 as Treasurer of the Swiss Pension Funds, set up the commodity unit in 2002, launched the long-only commodity product in 2006 and the long/short in 2008. Thierry started his career with IBM and moved to Pension Fund Management in 1987.

YUN SUN, HEAD OF PORTFOLIO MANAGEMENT, CFA

Yun is responsible for portfolio management, execution and quantitative research for the Asset Management programs. Prior to joining 1OAK, Yun was in charge of building-up and running the Portfolio Management Division at Deutsche Asset Management for the Global Equity Index funds, Exchange traded commodity and Multi-Asset fund of fund. Prior to DB AM, he had similar PM roles at FINEX Capital for Emerging Markets and Cross Asset Portfolios, at Macquarie for Global Equity Products and at Morgan Stanley in the Technology and R&D units. Yun holds a BA in Engineering from Tsinghua University in Beijing and a Doctorate in Computer Science & Mathematics from the Queen Mary University London. Yun was the award winner of the American Math Contest in modelling in 2003 and 2004 and the first prize winner of China’s National Math Olympiads in 1998 and 1999.

Dr. PETER KONIDARIS, CHIEF RISK OFFICER

Peter is responsible for risk management and operational technology infrastructure for the Asset Management products. Prior to joining 1OAK, Peter was in charge of the operational development within Oxford & Cambridge IM fund team since October 2003. Prior to Oxford & Cambridge IM, he spent 10 years at Unilever building-up and running one of the two Global Intelligence units, and working in R&D Programme Management. Peter completed a BA, MA, and a Doctorate from the University of Oxford.

ANDREA GRILLO, HEAD OF BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT 

Andrea is responsible for sales, structuring and investor solutions at 1OAK.  Previously, Andrea was Head of Commodity Investor Sales and Structuring for Europe at JPMorgan, and before that he held similar roles across asset classes at Goldman Sachs, Dresdner Bank, and UBS.  Andrea has a Master’s Degree in Chemical Engineering from Imperial College, London and a Master’s Degree in Management and Economics from SDA Bocconi, Milan.

DAVID STUFF, MANAGING DIRECTOR

David is responsible for development and distribution of the 1OAK Multi-Asset Fund. Prior to that David had over two decades of experience in investment banking, developing investor solutions, and innovative products. Previously David was the founder and managing partner of LevendiInvestment Management. Prior to Levendi David was at J.P. Morgan, Barclays Capital (together with the 1OAK Founders Giles Rothwell, President, and Giovanni Bonaccorso CEO) and Barclays Wealth and RBS. David has a Degree in Economics from the University of Birmingham.
